Whereas cat litter is typically collected in litter boxes, the waste still needs to be disposed off. Cat feces may be a haven for dangerous parasites, the most common of which is Toxoplasma gondii. Toxoplasmosis is one of the more common parasitic diseases and has been known to effect newborns. However, recent research shows that the health dangers of toxoplasma gondii are greater than initially believed, and that there is a correlation between levels of Toxoplasma Gondii and schizophrenia, depression, suicadal behaviour as well as mental retardation in fetuses.
In the Combox cat litter is scooped into a dedicated compartment, and with the press of a single button a cartridge is released which initiates a chemical process which turns the waste into non-toxic ash. This ash can be recycled into the soil and used as a highly nutritious fertilizer.
The process is quick, safe and odorless and signigicantly reduces the risk of diseases associated with parasites found in cat feces.
